Sponsorship Opportunities

KEYSTONE SPONSOR - $10,000
The Keystone Sponsor receives top billing for the event, and a two-day, private team building session for up to six people, led by Master Craftsman Neil Rippingale. The sponsor also receives top placement in all media contracted after the sponsorship is confirmed, as well as a banner placement on the Conservancy homepage, and event signage and programs. The sponsor also receives four complimentary tickets to the after-event BBQ with the masons.

HEART STONE SPONSOR - $5,000
In return for this sponsorship of the prizes and awards for masons, the Heart Stone Sponsor receives two complimentary registrations for any of the Conservancy?s general public workshops through 2009, prominent placement in all media contracted after the sponsorship is confirmed, event signage, programs and Conservancy homepage placement. The sponsor also receives two complimentary tickets to the after-event BBQ with the masons.

TIE ROCK SPONSOR - $2,500
In return for sponsoring the travel and lodging for Chris Tangey, DSWA-certified examiner, and food for the masons, the sponsor receives one complimentary registration for any Conservancy general public workshop through 2009, placement in all media contracted after the sponsorship is confirmed, event signage, programs and web homepage listing. The sponsor also receives two complimentary tickets to the after-event BBQ with the masons.

RIBBON SPONSOR - $250
The Ribbon Sponsor receives placement in all programs and on web homepage listing. The sponsor also receives two complimentary tickets to the after-event BBQ with the masons.

Media/Promotional Impact

MEDIA SPONSOR – KENTUCKY MONTHLY MAGAZINE
Kentucky Monthly Magazine, circulation 40,000, is the official media sponsor of the 2008 National Walling Competition. KY Monthly will provide full-page advertisements in its August, September, and October issues and publish a feature story on the Walling Competition.

GENERAL MEDIA OUTREACH
The Dry Stone Conservancy maintains a database of almost 350 print and broadcast media representatives, state and local government officials, community leaders and Chambers of Commerce in the Central Kentucky/Bluegrass region. Those contacts will receive background information, media advisories, news releases and other information about the National Walling Competition. Numerous additional regional and national publications and associations are included on the media outreach list. The various media outlets contacted have the potential of reaching several hundreds of thousands of readers and viewers in the Central Kentucky area.

COOPERATION WITH SHAKER VILLAGE AT PLEASANT HILL
The 5th Annual National Walling Competition is featured on the Shaker Village Web site (www.shakervillageky.org, click on Events Calendar). Admission to the Walling Competition is free and is included in the daily admission fee paid by visitors touring Shaker Village.

FRIENDS AND SUPPORTERS OUTREACH
The Dry Stone Conservancy has a database of more than 1,000 friends and supporters who will receive invitations and reminders to the Walling Competition.
