Kentucky: Two-Day Stone Dressing Clinic March 8-9, 2025 (Saturday-Sunday) $500

This Stone Dressing Clinic will take place in Jessamine County, Kentucky. Leading the clinic will be DSC Master Craftsman Seth Thomas.

Previous enrollment in an Introductory Workshop is a Pre-Requisite for this workshop.

The NEW Two-Day Stone Dressing Clinic is designed for people who have already taken a workshop and would like to gain some basic skills on how to process, cut, split, shape and finish stone for various commonly-encountered drystone applications. Participants will be working with hand and power tools to construct a small culvert arch / garden bench. Spots are limited, so reserve your spot soon!

The two days include:

Day One:

8:30am - Classroom session

10a-12p - Tools, reading, and marking stone

12p-1p - Lunch

1p-3p - Splitting and cutting stone

3p-4p - Reducing stone size, removing saw/drill marks

Day Two:

8:30a - Review of previous day, Q & A

9:30a-12p -Shaping corners, covers, copes, and voussoirs with hand tools

12p-1p - Lunch

1p-2p - Chisel and hammer techniques

2p-4p - Shaping and building

4p- Question and Answer / Evaluations
