Spring is just around the corner, and the Dry Stone Conservancy is gearing up for another exciting season of workshops! We have a variety of opportunities to learn this historic craft, from beginner-friendly introductions to advanced techniques.
Workshops Available:
SOLD OUT!!! Stone Lettering Class (January 25th, Bourbon County, KY): Learn the art of hand-carved lettering in stone in this intensive one-day class. ($250)
Stone Lettering Class (January 26th, Bourbon County, KY): NEWLY ADDED DATE! Learn the art of hand-carved lettering in stone in this intensive one-day class. ($250)
Advanced TWO-Day Stone Dressing Clinic (March 8th-9th, Jessamine County, KY): Master the skills of shaping stone with tools and other equipment. Space is limited! ($500)
Advanced Wallhead and Coping Workshop (March 29th-30th, Clark County, KY): Learn to build and maintain the crucial top sections of dry stone walls. ($400)
Introductory Workshop at Shaker Village (April 12th-13th, Harrodsburg, KY): Help restore a historic wall at the beautiful Shaker Village. On-site lodging available. ($400)
Introductory Retaining Wall Workshop (May 17th-18th, Kingston Springs, TN): Build and repair retaining walls near Nashville, TN. A can't-miss event! ($400)
Introductory Dry Stone Workshop (May 31st-June 1st, Loretto, KY): Gain hands-on experience with historic stonework at the Maker's Mark Distillery, with a tour included. ($400)
